Hukka presentation

Well if you are not from IIT , let me tell you that i dont really mean to talk about hukka as in sheesha. We call humanities courses as hukka in here.

So essentially this post is about my humanities presentation. I was partnering Abhinav and topic given to us was "Forgiveness and Guilt." See , both of us are not in a very good condition regarding our humanity course (HUL-237). I am 20 on 40 and he is 17.5 on 40 , way less then most of our friends. So this was more like a do or die situation for us- if we score well in this presentation , we get a good grade , else we could go as down as getting a 6 in course.

So we decided to give it apt time. We spent the whole day of yesterday preparing for it. We started with seeing The Schindler's List ( which took a long time...it is too lengthy a movie ) . And then we did lot of searching on internet and when we ended at night around 11 , we had done a real nice job. ( Atleast we were confident enough ).

See our presentation like me , was not just another brick in the wall. It was totally studded by dialogues from many great and exciting flicks- Matrix, Star Wars , The Schindler's List. We also quoted Eminem heavily - every other slide had a verse from one of his songs. This made it really alive. Then even the examples were too exciting- of Ashoka , or the shylock's speech.

And as we had expected , it went on really well. At then end of presentation , when it was announced- any questions please ? - there was a silence for over a minute after which people came up with a couple of lame and over cooked up questions. This was a good sign- we had not left any gaps in presentation at all.

When we sought the feedback from mam ( Ms Angelie Multani ) , her first reaction was- it was a really nice presentation- very well structured , you played safe and still gave your opinions , gave arguements . It was nice over all. And then after knowing that it was our first presentation- she was like- " For a first , it was excellent" . And her tone while saying excellent was really not hers- i had never seen her so positive and admiring ever. :)

Feels good , finally we did come up with a real nice performance in our all favourite hukka course !

May god , we do the same in other courses as well coz coming times are too heavy. Also there are some people around , who suck all the efficiency from me and i am left with only rage and negativity encoutering them . God give me enough power to stay calm and foucussed all these days.
